As new games rollout in the near future, I will gladly take them head on with the beastly Afterglow Prismatic controller. Due to the wired nature of the controller, I suffered no input lag and every button I pressed felt responsive. I felt that it excels in first person shooters in particular. I for one have had a great experience with the Afterglow Prismatic Controller, trying it out among many game genres. It shows that PDP always keeps the hardcore gamers in mind when they develop their products. This is a great and fun feature if you always wanted to keep your thumbs on the analog sticks. The two buttons function like mouse wheel buttons, so you can customize them to have up to 6 commands.

The Afterglow Prismatic controller also features remappable buttons on the back of the controller that you can configure using the free Afterglow Configuration app for the XBox One. I’ve also had no problem with the buttons or the triggers as they feel just as great and responsive as a regular XBox One controller. I was dabbling around green and purple, but went to stick with my go-to purple color! PDP has done a marvelous job with the overall design of the controller and it does ergonomically feel just right in your hands. The Afterglow Prismatic also has that signature customizable LED that can be set to your favorite color. PDP’s Afterglow line prides itself in its namesake and made the controller itself pretty sturdy. However, it does come with a 3.5 mm audio jack for your headset of choice, eliminating the need for an Xbox One Stereo Adapter. Although if your living room isn’t wire-friendly that may be an issue, as more standard controllers for consoles are wireless. USB cable, so batteries or charging doesn’t become an issue for those long game night sessions as the holidays roll around.
